Imperative is used for commands, requests or prohibitions. 

Continuous Imperative (or imperfective) is used for a general advice:

Μην πίνετε βρώμικο νερό. - Don't drink dirty water. (Continuous prohibition)

The verb is formed by adding the relevant ending to the stem in present.

Simple Imperative (or perfective) is used for a request or a command relevant at the moment:

Δώσε μου ένα ποτήρι νερό. - Give me a glass of water. 

To make your request polite you could add σε παρακαλώ (I beg you, used as please)

The verb is formed by adding the relevant ending to the stem in past.

Δώσε μου ένα ποτήρι νερό, σε παρακαλώ. - Give me a glass of water, please.

For now we will only be looking at the active form:

You (pl) διάβαζ-ετε αγαπ-άτε

Active You διαβά-σε αγάπ-ησε
You (pl) διαβά-στε  αγαπ-ήστε
