As you have already noticed I add the definite and indefinite articles to each word - this is your clue to the grammatical gender of the noun. If the noun is say feminine, all related words - adjective, article, etc, will agree.
As you probably find it hard to imagine that a house can have a gender there are ground rules how to work that one out.
Masculine nouns end by -ας, -ης, -ος, -ες, -ούς or -έας. Stressed -ός is absolutely always masculine.
Feminine nouns are very likely to end by -α, -η, and rarely -ού. Very rarely you'd see a ος too but in general this is a masculine ending.
Neuter nouns end by: -ι, -ο, -μα, -μο, -ς, -ν. Again there may be an -ος but very rarely.
Το αγόρι τρώει μια νόστιμη πίτσα. - The boy is eating a delicious pizza.
The word πίτσα is feminine therefore the article and the adjective need to be in feminine form.
Το αγόρι τρώει μια νόστιμη πίτσα. - The boy is eating a delicious pizza.
The word αγόρι is neutral therefore the article is in neutral form.
A boy and a girl are neutral gender, woman is feminine and man is masculine, you would find a similar model in many languages.
